Italian Band Plans World-Class Concert in Cambodia with Government Support

PHNOM PENH, June 5, 2024 – On Tuesday, June 4, 2024, Huot Hak, Minister of Inspection, met with Marcos Bianchi, Managing Director of the Andrea Bocelli Concert Program, to discuss the STARS ASIA TOUR 2025-2026, slated to take place in Cambodia.

Minister Hak warmly received Bianchi, who is the concert manager for the famed Italian artist Andrea Bocelli, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting focused on the logistical planning and support needed for the upcoming concert series in the Kingdom.

Bianchi expressed his gratitude to the Minister for the opportunity to collaborate and outlined the need for support and cooperation from relevant local institutions and authorities to successfully organize the STARS ASIA TOUR. The tour, themed around Peace, Culture, and Education, aims to showcase Cambodia’s rich cultural heritage and tourist attractions through promotional videos that will accompany the concert events.

In response, Minister Hak conveyed his appreciation to Andrea Bocelli and his team for selecting Cambodia as a host country for the tour. He highlighted the significance of hosting such a prestigious event at Angkor Wat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which he said underscores Cambodia's peace, political stability, social order, and developmental progress.

The Minister pledged full support for the tour and called on all relevant institutions and authorities to ensure smooth cooperation and coordination for the event's success.

He concluded the meeting by wishing Bianchi and his team good health and success in their preparations for the concert in Cambodia.
